Riley Smith is a professional composer, music editor, and electronic producer based in his hometown of Portland, Oregon. Riley has 9 years of experience in television and film music editing, including  work on award winning shows such as The Good Doctor & Umbrella Academy. As composer Dave Porter’s assistant, Riley has had the privilege of working on many scores including Better Call Saul, The Blacklist, and El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. 

In collaboration with Psychopomp Dance company, Riley has composed numerous original scores for dance that have graced stages across Los Angeles and California. He regularly collaborates with fellow musician as well, releasing music under the moniker McMurray.

Riley graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2015, where he studied music psychology, technology, and composition. When he’s not working, you can likely find Riley playing mandolin with his dad, riffing along to Watchhouse and Grateful Dead tunes.
